Project ASTRO Reach
is a professional development training program offering rich, hands-on Inquiry Based Method of Science Instruction. Science Method I explores hands on inquiry method using the Project ASTRO science curriculum. Science Method II is an intermediate course that includes Project ASTRO and UC Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science, Great Expectations in Math and Science [GEMS] Curriculum. Both are available for Nevada and California state teacher recertification credit.

Family ASTRO Camp
Family ASTRO is a program designed to faciliate families learning and experiencing science together. Through camps, star parties, lectures, assemblies and other special events, SS4S brings families together.
About Space Science for Schools:
SS4S is the collective by-product of a group of dedicated amateur astronomers in the Lake Tahoe, Reno and Carson City area who regularly got together as members of local astronomical societies at star parties. We were encouraged by the attendees of these public events to formalize our experience in ways that offered the public, schools, and the communities resources in discovering the science of astronomy.
